Page 1 of 3 Why the name "Nice Ice"?
We could try to sound technically superior and tell you that we had a carefully thought out reason for the name "Nice Ice" such as: A diamond is four times as thermally conductive as copper at room temperature even though it is not electrically conductive. Because of the ability for diamond to conduct heat, it has a tendency to feel cool to the lips when touched because it has the ability to conduct heat away from the lips. This is one reason why diamonds have been referred to as "ice". The statement in the paragraph is true, however the real reason for the name, Nice Ice, is a pretty simple play on the words from the song "Shave and a haircut, two bits!" During the 1990's one of our clients suggested that we needed a jingle. We tried to ignore the suggestion because we thought it was corny, but our late friend Chuck just wouldn't let it go. After all he built an automobile dynasty as "the little profit dealer" and we should listen to him. Chuck's good intentions began to wear us down and one day we ordered 5000 pens out of frustration and had them drop shipped to Chuck's dealership.
