Traditional Four Prong Solitaires:

Our traditional four prong solitaire offers a look of timeless tradition.  Some people prefer the look of a four prong setting because it allows more of the surface of the diamond to be seen.  Because we always like to discuss the pro's and con's of an item, we would like to point out that four prong settings are more susceptible to diamond loss than six prong settings.  This is because a diamond can be removed from a four prong setting if a single prong is bent back or snapped off.  For this reason, we recommend having your ring inspected by a qualified jeweler at least twice per year and contacting your insurance agent to arrange for proper coverage.  Diamond loss is not covered by our manufacturers warranty.

Traditional Six Prong Solitaires:

Our six prong solitaire offers a traditional look and the added peace of mind of two extra prongs.  It is necessary to pull back three consecutive prongs in order to remove a stone from a six prong setting so they are much more secure than a four prong setting.  Please have your ring checked by a qualified jeweler twice a year and obtain proper insurance for the ring by contacting your homeowner's insurance agent.  Diamond loss is not covered by our manufacturers warranty.

Cathedral Solitaires:

These rings have a soft straight edge and are solid underneath, they are not "hollowed out" shells...

Knife Edge Solitaires:

Our knife edge solitaire is made to order with a delivery time of 7 - 14 working days.  The average cost for a platinum engagement ring to hold up to a one carat size center stone is [Call for Current Price] depending on the platinum price of the day...  Larger sizes cost slightly more, the price includes the labor to mount one of our diamonds in the ring.  In answer to your next question, "Yes, our knife edge solitaire is extremely similar to the one that you're probably thinking about" however our comes wrapped in a Tuxedo Black Box with a white ribbon instead of Baby Blue...  Click here to view more images of our knife edge ring style.

Cross Cathedral Solitaires:

These rings average 3.0 mm at the top and taper down to about 2.7 mm at the bottom...  We prefer the Platinum & 14k White Gold versions of this ring because they are all one cast piece and diamonds look better set in white metal.  If we do not have the ring in-stock, we can usually get it within 48 hours with the exception of the yellow gold version which is a special order.  Call for price.
